| The obverse and reverse were designed and engraved by George William de Saulles. The legend reads EDWARDVS VII GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP. The reverse is that of a lion standing on top of a crown with the date being split either side of the crown. The reverse legends read FID: DEF: IND: IMP: in the top half and ONE SHILLING below the date and crown. A matt finish proof shilling was issued along with a regular shilling for 1902 only. 1902-1910 Silver, 5.65 grams, 23mm Diameter. |
