| Edward VII Half Sovereign 1902-1910 |
| Edward VII half sovereign was issued for every year of Edward VII's reign. Matt proof half sovereigns where also issued in 1902 as part of the coronation. The half sovereign was also issued for use in Australia (Melbourne, Perth and Sydney), and have a small M, P, or S mintmark. Sovereigns produced in Ottawa (Canada) have a small C as their mintmark. The half sovereigns produced in Britain have no mintmark. The mintmarks on the ground above the date on the George and dragon reverses. The obverse of the half sovereign is by George William de Saulles. The George and dragon reverse is a modified version of Benedetto Pistrucci's design. 1902-1910 Gold, 4 grams, 19mm Diameter. |
