| There was three different obverse and one reverse issued. The first halfpennies that were issued in 1717 & 1718 are often referred to as the "dump" issue, on account of them being smaller and wider than the later issues of 1719-1724. It was designed by John Croker. The reverse was again the traditional use of a seated Britannia with the date below. The differences in the obverses are quite small, mainly in the shoulder straps and hair. |
