| There are four different obverses and two different reverses issued for the half guinea of the George II reign. It was issued in almost every year from 1728 to 1760. The first obverse was by John Crocker. The second, third and fourth obverses were by John Tanner. Some coins have E.I.C. below the bust, they were struck using gold from the East India Company. Some coins of 1745 have LIMA below the bust. These were made using silver captured from the Spanish by Admiral George Anson in June 1743. 1728-1760 Gold 4.2 grams, 20mm Diameter. |
