| Issued for use in Malta. 1844 Designed by William Wyon. 1866-85 Leonard Wyon. The "Young head" obverse features the portrait of queen Victoria with a date below. The reverse features a seated Britannia with the words BRITANNIAR: REG: FID: DEF:. The "Bun head" obverse features the portrait of queen Victoria while the reverse contains the words "ONE THIRD FARTHING" with a date below. There is also a crown above the date and wreath of leaves around the wording and date. 1844 Copper, 1.5 grams, 16mm Diameter. 1866-85 Bronze, 1 gram, 15mm Diameter. |
